Capitol Hill Classic 10k

Today we ran in the Capitol Hill Classic, a 10k run to benefit a local public school. The race passed directly in front of our Eastern Market apartment at about the 5th kilometer. Asa ran the race with E, a friend of ours from PA. They finished in about 42 minutes. Hoa surpassed her goal, finishing around 56 minutes. The weather was amazing, and there were 3,000 runners.

After the race, we cooked brunch for Bert, an old college friend of Asa's, and fellow leader of the Habitat Bicycle Challenge in 1998. Bert was visiting from San Francisco and amazed us with his tales of exotic Albania.
